Maybe These Can Be Placed On The Axe Effect Ad Crotches?

Via Uffish via Fleshbot via Towleroad

There's a wide variety of colors and places to stick the lil' devils as well!

The Axe Effect Ads Are Really the Pits!

Actually, they look FAR more like penisless crotches without an upper torso!

Gads! What bad ads! I discovered the ad campaign's existance on my friend Molly's site and was a cross between a bit amused at the tackiness of it all and shaking my head in bewilderment.

There's an article about it in the San Francisco Gate and someone's comments about each picture can be found here

Yet Another Plea for Technical Help

Thanx to seeing this on Hot Toddy's blog, I see that haloscan's comments thingie can be used on blogger. Great! Got signed up there and got the coding to stick it onto my blog. Great! PROBLEM! Where the frell do I stick the coding? I looked through my template and THOUGHT I got it right - nope! I tried again in another spot - nope! No dice. SO! Can anyone who knows the Scribe template help a TechnoIdiot out? I just don't have the patience right now to sort through the Blogger's help section so I'm covering my fuzzy butt this way by posting a plea. Thanx!

I Asked For Ice But This Is Ridiculous!

I was just tooling around the snopes.com website and, being the bit of a Titanic buff that I am, I checked out what the site had on it. I came across an interesting bit of trivia I never heard of before (which struck me as odd) but Snopes claims it's true! - That the "The Poseidon Adeventure" (the 1911 version of it, that is) was being shown in the Second class dining room when the ship hit the iceberg!

And no wonder it struck me as odd! On further examination of the Snopes site, they admitted that the story was a hoax they did themselves! I did some checking out on The IMDB and I found out that there's going to be a remake of "The Poseidon Adeventure" next year!! There's no cast list listed but in an April 28 2004 Hollywood Reporter Article there's going to be a new set of characters and it'll be set in the present day.

Maybe they can have the new Stepford Wives be the passengers?

A Couple of Things

1) I do NOT appreciate annonymous comments being left that have NOTHING to do with the connecting post to push some agenda or ballot somewhere else, no matter if I agree with it or not. I will remove that comment. If you want me to help out and post something for your cause, please ASK FIRST! As well as give your name and e-mail and website addys. Thank you.

2) I've been busily updating my links list and pro'lly will for a while. So don't forget to check them out periodically!

Turn and Face the Strange Changes

Obviously, for those who have been here before, I switched templates. I didn't like the way the previous one was looking especially with the older entries having to battle with that background color. This one is MUCH better-looking and easier on the eyes when trying to read.

Problem Solved!

Wow! So, I finally figured out how to add links to the side bar! Apparently, this particular template I'm using doesn't automatically come with a "Links" section so I had to add it on my own. Which lead me to my dreaded "Next Problem to Tackle!" - how in the hell to do that! Now, I got the codes I needed from Blogger's "Help" area to do so BUT! Being comPLETELY illiterate when it comes to coding, I had NO idea where to stick it. I had these horrific images of me absolutely destroying what I've done so far and starting all over again. Something I was in NO mood to do.

To sum up - I did it. Somehow, I managed to find the right spot in the template and shove those odd looking assortment of characters into place and VOILA! It's done! I'm SO proud of myself! Yeah, you web designers and old pros at this are probably laughing at me for such minor accomplishments but laugh away! I'm just enjoying myself too much basking in the glow of it all to feel ashamed. But that can change in the harsh reality of morning....

I'll add more links later....

One Last Post For the Day

For those who are familiar with blogspot, how the hell do I locate if and where in the template I can find out if I can do links? I tried three times to see if I can spot something in this template's coding that is links-related (and I tried going by what blogspot's help section said) but it's either not there or I'm too blind and stupid to see it.

Any suggestions? Thanx!

TeeHee

That was (the K&H jpg) was the first photo I transferred over to a blog! I'm So proud of myself! I'll get the hang of those friggin' codes yet!!

Been dealing with an asthma flair-up the past 36 hours. Dunno why it''s acting up other than the dust on Friday but my usual drugs I do aren't helping getting rid of the inflamation. That's got me baffled and a bit scared. Spoke to my doc earlier this evening and he's got me on an increased dose of Aerobid and on mebulizer treatments. It's been many months since I had to haul that baby outta the linen closet. I hope it goes away DAMN soon! Not being able to breathe sucks bong water.

Alrighty....

Well, since I've started using my website addy when I leave comments, I might as well start posting here. Yes, folks! It looks like I'm finally getting my butt in gear and doing some blogging of my own. It'll be a new experience for me since I've NEVER even kept a diary let alone anything else. So I ask of you, kind readers - Please be patient with me as I stumble through this electronic adventure.

I'm FAR from being perfect. Lord knows I'll make my fair share of spelling errors, typos, and grammatical screw-ups! (Heck! I never said I was good at grammar) And Lord knows my technical skills at doing coding are severely lacking. I hope, in time, I'll get the hang of this. I think this might be a good time to thank all those blogs I *do* read for, well, blazing the trail for a humble (BWAHAHA! A Leo HUMBLE?!? heh!) newbie to follow along.

Off to take a break....more to follow.....
